The 2026 GAF Guangzhou Illustration Art Fair has officially announced its schedule and will take place from August 14th to 16th at Poly World Trade Center.
Under the theme The Vein of Blossoms, this year’s exhibition will bring together renowned illustrators, creative brands, and industry professionals from around the world, presenting an annual celebration that integrates art, creation and exchange.

本届展会将打造超过万平方米的沉浸式展览空间，集结数百位艺术创作者与丰富展览内容。观众不仅能够近距离欣赏艺术家原作、概念设计与创作手稿，还可以通过现场互动、主题分享、签售交流等活动，深入了解作品背后的创作理念。除了专业展览内容，GAF也持续关注年轻创作者生态建设。艺术市集、独立创作展示以及创作者互动空间，让艺术从展厅走向日常生活，为青年艺术家提供展示自我、交流创意的平台。
This year’s exhibition will create an immersive exhibition space spanning more than 10,000 square meters, bringing together hundreds of artists and a diverse range of exhibition programs. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience original artworks, concept designs, and creative sketches up close, while gaining deeper insight into the ideas and creative processes behind each work through interactive experiences, themed talks, and artist signings.
Beyond professional exhibitions, GAF continues to support the development of the young creator ecosystem. Through art markets, independent creator showcases, and interactive creative spaces, the exhibition brings art beyond the gallery environment and into everyday life, providing emerging artists with platforms to present their work and exchange ideas.

The 2026 Guangzhou Illustration Art Fair will present an immersive visual experience that combines scale with rich artistic content. Covering more than 11,000 square meters, the exhibition will gather global creative forces and feature 4 major featured exhibitions, as well as more than 350 individual artist exhibitions, offering audiences an in-depth exploration of the diverse expressions of contemporary illustration.
The fair will also showcase more than 50 animated short films, over 20 sets of CG concept art sketches, and more than 80 collaborative themed illustrations, demonstrating the limitless possibilities of artistic co-creation.
Meanwhile, with the participation of more than 80 overseas artists, GAF will establish an international platform for creative exchange, featuring over 30 themed sharing sessions and signing events that allow audiences to engage directly with creators and experience the rich appeal of illustration, from visual expression to intellectual dialogue.

中国 – 刘冬子
China — Liu Dongzi
作为国内知名影视概念设计师、插画家及漫画家，刘冬子长期活跃于影视、游戏及商业艺术领域，参与《西游记》《阴阳师之侍神令》等项目视觉设计，并创作《猪·女》《狮驼岭手记》等系列作品。本届GAF期间，他还将带来现场主题分享，与观众共同探讨视觉创作背后的灵感与实践。
As a renowned Chinese film concept designer, illustrator, and comic artist, Liu Dongzi has long been active across film, gaming, and commercial art fields.
He has participated in visual design projects including “Journey to the West” and “The Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity”, while also creating personal series such as “Pig · Woman” and “Notes from Shituoling”. During GAF 2026, Liu Dongzi will also present an on-site themed talk, exploring the inspiration and practices behind visual creation with audiences.

凭借极具未来感与色彩张力的画风，日本插画家LAM近年来受到全球年轻创作者关注。其作品横跨角色设计、视觉艺术及出版领域，曾参与《宿命回响 taktop.》《初音未来 Magical Mirai 2023》等知名项目。LAM也将现场举办签售，并同步带来个人作品展，以更完整的艺术表达呈现其创作世界。
With a futuristic artistic style and powerful use of color, Japanese illustrator LAM has gained global attention among young creators in recent years. His work spans character design, visual art, and publishing, and he has participated in renowned projects including “takt op. ” and “Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2023”. LAM will host an autograph session at the festival and present a personal exhibition, offering audiences a more complete view of his artistic universe.

MY蚂蚁(陈祖儿)是一位艺术家及策展人。毕业于巴黎ESAG Penninghen及IESA高等文化策展学院。归国后创立艺术品牌MY ILLUSTRATION及魔女的盛宴艺术节，作品在国内外艺术展览展出，并在当代艺术、时尚、Art Toy等多元领域进行跨界合作。创作特色为架上丙烯和墨水，其艺术实践致力于中西文化融合，塑造独特的时尚艺术风格。
MY ILLUSTRATION is an artist and curator. She graduated from ESAG Penninghen and IESA (Institut d’Études Supérieures des Arts) in Paris. After returning to China, she founded the art brand MY ILLUSTRATION and the art festival “Witch’s Feast.”
Her works have been exhibited in art shows both domestically and internationally, and she has engaged in cross-disciplinary collaborations across contemporary art, fashion, Art Toy, and other diverse fields. Working primarily in acrylic and ink on canvas, her artistic practice is devoted to the fusion of Chinese and Western cultures, shaping a distinctive fashionable art style.

独立插画艺术家、视觉创作者，以细腻的叙事表达和富有情绪张力的画面风格受到广泛关注。创作涵盖出版、商业合作及个人艺术项目，擅长在现实与幻想之间构建具有诗意的视觉世界，是近年来备受年轻观众喜爱的原创插画艺术家之一。
An independent illustration artist and visual creator, Qu has attracted wide attention for delicate narrative expressions and emotionally compelling visual styles. Her creative practice covers publishing, commercial collaborations, and personal art projects.
She excels at constructing poetic visual worlds between reality and fantasy, making her one of the emerging original illustration artists favored by younger audiences.

South Korea – Hyun Jin Kim
韩国艺术推广人与策展人，Superani联合创办人，《金政基：无尽线条之旅》联合策展人。毕业于韩国国立釜山大学美术系，长期从事美术教育与艺术家培养，创立艺术家创作共同体Superani，并运营韩国坡州工作室。作为金政基生前的重要合作伙伴，他目前亦参与金政基美术馆的运营，持续推动其艺术精神的传播与国际交流。
A Korean art promoter and curator, Hyun Jin Kim is the co-founder of Superani and co-curator of “JungGi Kim: A Journey To Endless Lines”.
A graduate of the Department of Fine Arts at Busan National University, Hyun Jin Kim has long been engaged in art education and artist development. He founded the artist community Superani and operates its studio in Paju, South Korea.
As one of JungGi Kim’s key collaborators during his lifetime, Hyun Jin Kim is currently involved in the operation of the JungGi Kim Museum, continuing to promote the artist’s creative spirit and international artistic exchange.

漫画家、插画艺术家，以充满东方幻想气质的原创世界观和极具张力的人物塑造受到关注。创作横跨漫画、插画、视觉设计等多个领域，在原创IP及出版创作方面具有鲜明的个人风格。
A comic artist and illustrator, Mo Fei has attracted attention for his original fantasy worlds inspired by Eastern aesthetics and his expressive character design. His creative work spans comics, illustration, and visual design, with a distinctive personal style in original IP development and publishing.

独立插画艺术家，以梦境般的色彩语言和富有故事性的画面表达见长。作品融合幻想、美学与日常情绪，在原创艺术创作、展览及品牌合作等领域持续活跃，形成了极具辨识度的个人视觉风格。
An independent illustration artist, YOGISYA is known for dreamlike color palettes and narrative-driven visual expressions. Her works combine fantasy, aesthetics, and everyday emotions. Active across original art creation, exhibitions, and brand collaborations, YOGISYA has developed a highly recognizable personal visual language.

South Korea – Park Jae Kwang
韩国新生代叙事型插画代表艺术家朴在光，以漫画为根基，将韩国传统文化符号、亚洲神话意象与现代视觉叙事融合，通过高密度线条和充满生命力的人物描绘，构建兼具东方气韵与当代潮流感的幻想世界。
Park Jae Kwang, a representative emerging Korean narrative illustrator, builds upon the foundation of comics to blend Korean traditional cultural symbols, Asian mythological imagery, and contemporary visual storytelling. Through intricate linework and dynamic character portrayals, he creates fantastical worlds that embody both Eastern aesthetics and a modern sense of visual culture. His practice spans comics, illustration, brand collaborations, and live drawing performances.

专注于角色创作与叙事插画的青年插画艺术家。其作品以细腻的人物刻画、独特的视觉语言和富有想象力的场景构建见长，通过色彩、光影与叙事元素的融合，探索角色与情绪、幻想世界之间的连接。
A young illustrator specializing in character design and narrative illustration. His works are characterized by delicate character portrayals, distinctive visual language, and imaginative world-building. Through the integration of color, lighting, and narrative elements, he explores the connections between characters, emotions, and fantastical worlds.
新加坡 – GUWEIZ
Singapore – GUWEIZ
GUWEIZ（中文名顾正炜），出生于上海的新加坡华人插画师、概念艺术家，他17岁开始自学绘画。其作品以“雨夜深巷女杀手”为标志性视觉符号，通过冷色调雨景与人物凌厉气质的结合，形成融合性感与杀气的独特风格。
GUWEIZ, a Singaporean Chinese illustrator and concept artist born in Shanghai, began teaching himself to draw at the age of 17. His works are recognized for the iconic visual motif of “female assassins in rainy night alleyways,” where cold-toned rainy atmospheres are combined with characters’ sharp and captivating presence, creating a distinctive style that blends sensuality with a sense of danger.

Known as a legendary sketch artist, JungGi Kim became globally recognized for his extraordinary spatial construction abilities and his ability to create complex compositions almost entirely without preliminary sketches. From characters and machinery to architecture and war scenes, he could bring intricate worlds to life in a single flow of lines.
His work has not only influenced the global illustration field but has also deeply inspired creators in animation, games, comics, and film. At GAF, a special presentation of his artworks will pay tribute to this master whose creativity has inspired countless artists worldwide.

From comic creation to collectible art toy design, Ashley Wood has remained at the forefront of global visual art.
He has contributed to internationally renowned comic publishers including Marvel, DC, and Image Comics, founded collectible brands ThreeA and Underverse, and created iconic original IPs such as “Popbot” and “World War Robot”. With his distinctive artistic style and unique world-building approach, Ashley Wood has become an influential figure in contemporary pop culture and collectible art.

Japan — Katsuya Terada
提到日本当代插画与漫画，寺田克也是绕不开的名字。《西游奇传 大猿王》塑造了极具个人风格的孙悟空形象，并持续影响着亚洲插画创作。近年来，他不断探索传统手绘与数字创作之间的边界，以自由奔放、兼具超现实气质的视觉语言，成为国际艺术领域极具代表性的创作者。
When discussing contemporary Japanese illustration and manga, Katsuya Terada is an essential name. His iconic interpretation of Sun Wukong in “Saiyukiden Daienou” has shaped a highly personal visual style and continued to influence Asian illustration.
In recent years, Terada has continued exploring the boundaries between traditional hand-drawing and digital creation. Through his free, dynamic, and surreal visual language, he has become one of the most representative creators in the international art scene.

An original animation centered on “memory and growth,” this project won the Gold Award, Best Director, and Best Screenplay at Bilibili’s “Light Catcher Project” in 2020 with its 18-minute short film, and has been hailed by countless domestic animation fans as a sincere work.
After six years of meticulous refinement, the full-length animation is officially scheduled to premiere on August 2nd at 12:00 noon, exclusively on Bilibili, with the first three episodes dropping at launch!
At this year’s GAF, the creative team behind Memory Administration will appear at the GAF exhibition zone with a wealth of original concept art, behind-the-scenes settings, limited-edition merchandise, and more.
